About Me
I am a PhD student in Creative Informatics at The University of Tokyo, working under the supervision of Prof. Kei Okada in the JSK Robotics Laboratory. My research focuses on robot learning and 3D affordance extraction from human video data for robotic manipulation tasks.
Before starting my PhD, I completed my Master's degree at The University of Tokyo where I worked on 3D affordance learning from human-object interactions. My journey in robotics began during my undergraduate studies at Tokyo Institute of Technology, where I first became fascinated with the intersection of mechanical engineering and artificial intelligence.
Research Philosophy
I believe in bridging the gap between human intelligence and robotic capabilities through data-driven approaches. My work aims to enable robots to understand and learn from human demonstrations, making them more adaptable and capable in real-world manipulation tasks.
Background
Originally from South Korea, I came to Japan through the Japan-Korea Joint Government Scholarship program. I have experience in both industry and academia, having interned at Bosch Japan and AWS Japan, which has given me a well-rounded perspective on both research and practical applications.
